A Place of Our Own" Television Series Workshop

Taught by the Trainers of KCTS Channel 9 - Seattle

This 4 STARS Hour Workshop is being presented and taught by the trainers of KCTS, Channel 9, featuring "A Place of Our Own". This television show is a daily television series, a website, and an extensive outreach program devoted to the unique needs of people who care for children. This is sure to be a wonderful learning opportunity for Family Child Care Providers, Child Care Center staff, teachers or anyone who knows children, takes care of children, and believes every child deserves a great start in school and in life. SWWFCCA is extremely fortunate to have secured the trainers from "A Place of Our Own" and appreciate their willingness to travel to Vancouver to offer these two invaluable trainings for us

Join us for this wonderful 4-Hour STARS Workshop. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited.

"The Importance of Storytelling" First Session

Storytelling helps develop language and literacy skills. Come and learn fun, new, creative ways to help children make up stories using their imaginations.

Luncheon and Socializing Noon - 1:00 pm

"Play and Creativity" Second Session

Ever play "Super Hero" when you were a kid? Come and join us as we learn the importance of play! Superhero Play helps children learn how to face their own fears; it gives them a sense of power and awareness. It is also a great outlet for them to act out, which they need to do constantly.

The cost for this 4-Hour Workshop is $20.00 for SWWFCCA members and $35.00 for non-members. Lunch is included and will be provided by SWWFCCA.
