Event Description
Sponge invites families to two free cultural events in February at its centers in Seattle and Bellevue, celebrating the Chinese New Year. In honor of the Year of the Dragon, Sponge will welcome Chinese performers and offer a variety of make-and-take crafts for families.
At the Chinese New Year celebration in Seattle on Saturday, Feb. 4, the Seattle Chinese Community Girls Drill Team will indulge audiences with a variety of Chinese cultural dances. This colorful, award-winning unit has performed in every major parade in the Pacific Northwest, as well as in Taiwan.
