Event Description

The ”Starting Strong” P-3 Conference will bring together teams from across the state made up of early childhood and K-3 educators, policy makers and local advocates partners to create a cross sector learning community. Teams will not only hear and learn the same information but will work together to identify how they use what they learn to build or further develop early learning connections that are so critical to improving learning for our youngest citizens.

Who should attend:

  • Early Learning Teams including teachers, principals, administrators, policy makers, advocates.
  • Anyone working with children birth through 8 yrs.
Speakers:
  • Ruby Takanishi, President of the Foundation for Child Development
  • Other national experts to be announced!

The conference will focus on informing practice in four key components necessary for P-3 early care and education efforts: leadership, Instructional practice, community coalitions and collaboration and family partnerships.
