Event Description
Parents, child care providers and others will have opportunities to comment on draft family home child care rules at eight public forums around the state in April.
The draft family home rules were developed by a Negotiated Rule Making Team that met from 2007 through 2009 to review current DEL rules. The group researched national standards and other state rules, and made comprehensive recommendations to DEL for revising the regulations. Public comments on the draft rules are expected to help DEL write the next draft.
The Department of Early Learning is holding public meetings on:
· Friday, April 9 in Tumwater
· Saturday, April 10 in Vancouver
· Friday, April 16 in Everett
· Saturday, April 17 in Seattle
· Saturday, April 17 in Kent
· Friday, April 23 in Spokane
· Saturday, April 24 in Pasco
· Saturday, April 24 in Wenatchee
