Our Presenters:
Maren Schmidt, “Environments for Optimal Brain Development in 3-5 year olds and 15-18 year olds.” Maren is an award winning author; Building Cathedrals, not Walls is her latest book. AMI Teacher with an MA from Loyola College.

Sarah Peyton and Janice Eng, “Calming the Emotional Brain,” and the new science of interpersonal neurobiology. Sarah and Janice are non-violent communication trainers.

Stacey Cooper: “Blue Ribbon Emotions”: sharing insights from Temple Grandin’s book, Animals Make Us Human. Stacey is an animal behaviorist with years of experience working with domestic and exotic animals.

Dates and times:

  • Thurs, May 6th 4:00-8:00 PM-Forum for Teachers only (Family & Consumer Sciences classroom 4 clock hours available)
  • Fri, May 7th 6:00-9:00 PM-Forum open to Parents and Teachers (BHS Library 3 STARS/3 Clock hours)
  • Sat, May 8th-Morning Workshops (BHS Library 3 clock hours or 3 STARS credits)
$45.00 registration fee for 3 days or $20.00 per session
