Any Harry Potter!
My daughter loves: Bear Snores On, Bear Feels Sick, Bears New Friend, Good Night Moon, The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear, and she loves listening to me read Junie B Jones!

"Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch
I love this book. Warning: causes weepiness.

Re-read this last week. What a beautiful heart-warming tale! :)
I have published a new children's chapter book dinosaur adventure. It is a fun story with a great message to read to kids 4-6 years old, and for 6-9 years old to read on their own as an early to middle level chapter book. It was developed over a long period of time as my daughter and I created and told many daily stories about three iguanodon siblings, Iggy, Guana, and Dawn. Please take a moment to check out this fun book, and pass on the link to others. Parents will feel good about their children reading this book. Thanks! https://iggyadventures.com

Boys under 5 will love The Racecar Alphabet and adults will enjoy the alliteration. It's actually a fun book to read!
Funny you mentioned that. My son has read the whole Harry Potter Series. 7 or 8 books? since he was 5. He is now 8. His teacher just told him the other day that there is no way he can understand that book. However, I think if he weren't able to understand it, he wouldn't have even tried to read all the books. It would be boring for him. My son takes one of those books and doesn't put it down until he was done.
