healthy after school snacks (
care.com) that taste good and are simple to make:

Ants on a Log – This is a classic after school snack. Spread peanut butter on celery stalks and top with raisins. We’ve seen this snack made with cream cheese instead of peanut butter, but this variation doesn’t look much like a log.
Trail Mix – Make your own trail mix by combining nuts, raisins, dried cranberries, chocolate chips, yogurt-covered raisins, pretzels, etc. You can make a big batch on Mondays and divvy it up into sandwich bags. Then you’ve got single-portion snacks ready to grab and go for the rest of the week.
Fruit and Yogurt Parfait – Layer vanilla yogurt, berries (fresh or defrosted), and granola in a glass. It's healthy and delicious!
Frozen Grapes – These are simple to make, but require some foresight. Simply stick a bunch of grapes in the freezer the night before. They'll come out like little, bite-sized popsicles.
Apples and Bananas with Peanut Butter – This is a snack that will never go out of style. Slice apples and bananas. Top with dabs of peanut butter. You can use a little lemon juice to keep the apple slices from browning.
Apples and Cheese –Slice apples and serve with slices of cheddar, Muenster, or your favorite cheese.
Tuna Salad on a Ritz Cracker – Check out the Nabisco website for a myriad of ways to top your Ritz.
Veggies and Dip – Carrot sticks, celery sticks, and cucumber slices can be dipped in ranch dressing or, better yet, healthy hummus.
Pizza Bagels – Got time for a snack that requires a little bit of toasting? Slice a bagel, spread with pizza sauce, top with mozzarella, and bake in an oven or toaster oven until the cheese melts and the bagel is toasted.
Rice Krispies Treats – Okay, these might not qualify as healthy, but they’re fairly simple to make, fun for little kids to decorate, and for some reason taste infinitely better homemade than prepackaged.
