Tips and resources to support children birth to age five

One of my biggest struggles with new families is easing thier stress of a home visit.

During enrollment I explain the "whole family" concept and discuss home visits, however families always seem a little hesitant about them.  Generally after the visit they are relived, but I want them to be comfortable from the get go.

Does anyone have any tips or strategies??

Thank You

I think that if you continue to be open about Home Visits and what they are all about will be helpful.  Be aware of how you're presenting the idea to them.  Think of a lighthearted way to connect about HV's.  IE a way to share something fun and exciting about their child, a way to work on emerging skills together.
