- How did you become passionate about early learning?
- By being around children, especially Mexican children. I rurn a nonprofit that is dedicated to education.
- Tell us more about your interests and background
- I live in Central Mexico where I did my doctoral research for my PhD in special education, bilingual education and sociocultural studies. I designed, built, trained, and was director of a birth - age 14 school on the AZ/MX border. I moved to Mexico to figure out why 50% of the Mexican immigrants doe not graduate high school in the USA. I know now that early literacy is the key, so I am raising money to build a library.
