Don't Rely on Luck To Keep Your Kids Safe!

Don’t Rely on Luck to Keep Your Kids SafeBy Kim Estes At SavvyParentsSafekids, I don't use scary tactics in my workshops, but the truth is there are scary statistics on the number of kids who are being sexually abused right now in your community. It makes me so sad to hear a parent come up after a workshop and say "I wish my mom had taken a workshop like this. She could have…See More

How did you become passionate about early learning?
When a predatory incident in my community spotlighted the need for progressive non scary safety information for parents, I began training on child safety so that I could bring the most up to date safety information to parents in a non scary user friendly format.

I know many parents who think they are protecting their kids by being the parent who HOSTS sleepovers. I mean nothing bad would ever happen in our OWN HOME… or could it? Sexual abuse can happen in your home, under your watch.

Most of the time the only “risk” at a sleepover is not getting any…

Bad Manners Bad Intentions? (or Just a Bad Idea?)

Bad Manners Bad Intentions? (or Just a Bad Idea?) By Kim Estes - Savvy Parents Safe Kids

Each month, as I prepare my child safety article, I sometimes wonder: what will I have to write about? I mean, how many times can you write about finding a safe mom with kids at the store? Then, some great safety question presents itself (usually at someone else’s expense) and I create a safety tip with it. This…
