Tips and resources to support children birth to age five

Bring Block Fest to your community!

Block Fest is a building extravaganza for parents and children 8 months to 8 years of age. Young children learn best through hands-on, child-directed play with modeling and scaffolding provided by parents and teachers. Block play helps children develop early math, science and literacy skills, and creates a foundation for later enthusiasm about math and science learning! By taking advantage of adult learning styles, Block Fest lets parents see the value of block play and of participating in their child's play and learning.

Block Fest is a one-time event that you can hold at your school, childcare center, or community site.
